This series was part of a postcard design for promotional work. A new business in the MetroNYC area February of 2019 opened up five days prior. The business had promoted themselves with orange bicycles in random locations in the community. I wasn't planning on locating a business that used the exact shade of orange as my artwork. I began taking photographs of my artwork that I had created in 2018. I made paintings for inspiration for a sculpture I was creating. I then used Abode Photoshop to and used a filter called Plaster to modify my imagery. Tributary
This series of orange imagery really stands out. This series was created from a series of paintings. Notice how the pattern forms a fluid outline almost like a lava flow or mighty river flowing downstream. For me this invokes a renewal, a washing away of past tensions.
Just A Girl
The image lets the viewer see the inner view of a girl and her side profile. Her hair flows back like a waterfall that surrounds her. This provides strength and a sense of calm and peacefulness. With everything orange she truly glows.
Inlet Island
This image gives imagination of aerial views of an inlet island. Just like gazing at the sky this piece can show the viewer imagery within the viewer's mind. Just like the clouds in the sky you can see various things gazing down at this artwork. Can you visualize the lion's face in the upper middle top?
Tideway
This image is calm and peaceful which reminds me of the tideways. Visualize drifting with the tides in the estuary. Relaxing and just drifting away.
River
This visually brings me to a river that flows gracefully into a waterfall. Close your eyes and dream of the water flowing down towards your heart and breathe.
