2012 My 1st graduation

This is my favorite photo of myself when I graduate May 20, 2012 with my Associate's Degree in Mathematics and Science at SUNY RCC. Rockland Community College is considered the best Community College in The United States of America. It's located in Metropolitan New York City and in Suffern, New York. I guess I was lucky to get dropped off here from Brooklyn? I went back to college after I fell through the cracks of the systems put in place to protect woman and children. I was so mad as our tax dollars pay for these non-profit programs that are put in place to help victims. It's not my fault what happened to me and it's happening to hundreds and thousands of innocent spouses across America. This epidemic is so widespread and silent. I was very happy this day to graduate that I wrote this quote, " I can't wait to graduate again and maybe someday go for my Master's degree! This is only the beginning not the end."

I am happy that I posted a few updates on this year to remember them. I wrote on January 13, 2012, "We got our first snowflake today!" I got a new car February 9, 2012 I didn't have a choice my car was turning on and off while driving. With two little ones in the car it was too dangerous. It happened 3 times and we got lucky it would turn off at 65mph on the thruway and it was a computer crash error. Nobody would help us so with $75 dollars to my name I walked into a dealership and got my new car. I will always remember Justin R. I told him that if I ever win big like the lotto he is the first person I will give 1 million dollars too. He was a total stranger that cared to set us up so we would be safe. This is rare in the car industry where the dollar is praised over the people. On April 3, 2012 I wrote, " I got my certificate for CPR for the professional rescuer today!" On April 26, 2012 my son was part of a photography show at school he was so proud I still have his photo in a frame titled shadows. He was so proud of himself and had an entire portfolio. May 1, 2012 I posted a quote, "I believe in justice and truth, without which there would be no basis for human hope." -Dalia Lama The photo I posted with my son's and I which I wrote, " My family and I together. They loved that I was number 105 in line to graduate. Looking back I wore dress pants they were pricy from Banana Republic with a dress tank top from the same brand. I didn't know that most people wore dress under their graduation gowns. I just wanted to look nice and professional I was very happy on this day. I wish I had done my makeup and hair and paid attention to the superficial things back then. After this we took trips to Canada and really relaxed and visited friends and family. I didn't think we were going to make it to the graduation I left to pick them up very early in the morning. But, that's another story for another time. A girl screamed my name when I was called to walk the stage to graduate I don't even know who that was in the crowd? She was very happy for me though on that day May 20, 2012.

I just found an old photo memory on a locked album with a caption from 2012. I had just graduated and so so tired but so proud:) 79 credits in 1.5 years was intense as only 12 credits were transfer credits!! I graduated with excess credits took 1 semester I never needed but Loved it:) The location was Canada and the Bridal Falls the American Falls are behind me.
