I have many stories connected to this art gallery show from the photoshoot, the dress that I bought, and the inspiration. I will come back and add more later. I was so proud I was a student and picked for the 3rd annual exhibit and the city of Hudson in Columbia County is a very historical place. The gallery owners are amazing human beings and support emerging artists. This show was curated by Juror Paula Tognarelli and I had the honor to meet everyone on the artist opening. Paula Tognarelli took the time to personally educate me how she put the entire show together. It was fun learning how she created this vision and she said my photo really made the show. She is an important person in the art and museum industry and a part of the Griffin Museum of Photography which is part of the Boston area. I had a good friend or so I thought who helped me edit my artist statement and later told me it was cliché which really hurt my feelings. As I create from the heart and everything is meaningful and true. I had stars in my eyes during this time and hoped to find a collector to buy my series. I never did promote this work past the show. I included a photo of the solar eclipse that I took around this same time frame. It was taken on the great American eclipse of August 21, 2017.
