Working with models at RCC

Wendy Drews

Working with live models at RCC gave me a better foundation of the arts. It's very expensive to hire and always have live models for drawing, painting, and photography students. When learning how to draw you first learn form and will never look at the world the same way again. When you become an artist you start seeing things differently there are no words to describe it really? I never planned on going to school for The Arts. But, I am glad that I gave it a shot and went for it all. Here are my prints from working with models on campus. Models are always nude and we learned body form it's just an art form. You adapt learn and grow from drawing 4-5 hours a day. You start to appreciate how the minds sees form, shapes, shadows, and depth. Then you learn how the hands can create from observation and practice. These are photos of the black and white prints on IIford paper. ©2017
